Business Ethics
Mission Statement
The Integritas Institute for Business and Professional Ethics is a program which operates under the auspices of the John Paul II Newman Center and in cooperation with the UIC College of Business. It exists to foster a deeper appreciation of the ethical questions which arise from our everyday work and business lives, and to offer a forum for the constructive exploration of answers. Through its programming the Institute hopes to enrich ethical education at UIC and thereby to make a significant contribution to thoughtful and responsible citizenship. As individuals, business persons provide moral leadership through their personal values and professional ethics. As institutions, businesses regularly make decisions which have moral and social as well as economic consequences. The Integritas Institute prepares leaders by clarifying the extent to which our individual lives, inside and out, are always part of a larger whole.
